Single 0 (SOLD)

This is a small single 0 sized guitar with curly Oak back and sides and a cedar top. Oak is a forgotten tone wood that was used more extensively in the early 1900’s and which actually makes a very nice sounding guitar. This instrument harkens back to those early years of guitar making with a Renaissance inspired mustache bridge and hour glass shading on the back and sides similar to the shading found on early bowed instruments (Viola de Gamba ).

The bolt on neck is curly walnut and it has an elevated fingerboard with a carbon fiber braced internal neck block to free up the cedar top to really sing. The binding and rosette are Ziricote with spalted maple inclusions and a shop made rope purfling echoes the wood themes found elsewhere. The open slotted peghead has wavered 3500 tuners with ivoroid buttons.

This little guitar REALLY sings. You will be amazed at the amount of music that cedar top over oak can make. It is very sensitive and will excel fingerstyle playing. The string length is 25 inches.
